Billy Kincaid
Born and raised in Seattle.
Self taught.
Mediums I use: Acrylic, oil finishes, plaster
I tend to like larger pieces; small pieces are a challenge for me.
How do I know when a painting is finished? A painting isn’t finished until it FEELS finished
I strive for depth and texture.
I don't title anything because I believe it puts pressure on the viewer to try and see/feel what I see/feel. They should be able to look at a painting and decide on their own how it makes them feel. We all know art is personal and without a title I think it easier to do so.
Because I tend to be all over the board, I wouldn’t even know how to describe my paint style. I guess I’ll l leave that up to you.
Contemporary? Modern? Abstract? Surreal? All of my favorites, “Jack of all styles, master of none“
